Welcome to the Bethune Website. My name is Tina Coppin, and I have had the pleasure of serving as principal at our Bethune Early Childhood Center for 8 years. This year we have added Dickson Early Childhood Center as another thriving center for Temple ISD's youngest Students. We partner with Central Texas Head Start Inc. at both locations. TISD now serves close to 600 Prekindergarten students. The Pre-kindergarten program is for students who turn 4 by September 1st of the current school year and meet the qualifications set forth by Title I. We hold a Pre-registration each May and accept applications throughout the school year.
Our classrooms are arranged to invite involvement in a variety of learning activities with consideration to large and small muscle development, social maturity, emerging literacy, math and science explorations, as well as art, music and movement. Our staff believes that each child who comes to our program is a unique and special individual. We will work with parents to make their child’s first school experience one that will set the stage for years of successful learning and achievement.
